Fanaz Solooki
Fanaz Solooki (Persian: فاناز سلوکی; born 20 Shahrivar 1376, September 1997) is an Iranian actress working in feature and short films, television, and theatre[^c1]. She holds a bachelor's degree in physical education[^c13]. Her documented credits include the television series Aban; the feature films Nachari, Shahr-e Doodi, Mah-e Penhan, and Matik-e Makhmal; the short films Daroun o Boroun and Metod; and the stage productions Eskizo, Alef Ghain Mim, Charandiyat-e Dramatik, and Moosh-haye Teatr-e Shahr[^c2][^c20].
Her screen work is chiefly social drama. Mah-e Penhan, the first cinema feature by director Mohammadreza Yekani, entered Iranian theatres in late July 2026, with Solooki in an ensemble led by Linda Kiani[^c3][^c4][^c14]. The film was submitted to the 43rd Fajr Film Festival but did not enter its main competition and won no award there[^c16][^c17]. Its theatrical run was weakly attended: on its opening day it sold two tickets for 231,000 tomans[^c19], and in one week the film sold 1,294 tickets for 17 million tomans, reaching a cumulative gross of 485 million tomans[^c7][^c11]. A further Yekani feature, Matik-e Makhmal (Velvet Lipstick), a social drama written by Pedram Afshar, dates from 1400 (2021) and places Solooki in its supporting ensemble[^c18][^c20]. The Yekani features Shahr-e Doodi and Nachari went directly to online distribution in 2023 rather than to cinemas. Solooki also lists the series Aban among her credits, but the series' published cast lists do not name her, so that credit rests on her own account[^c15].
On stage she appeared in Eskizo, a production adapted from Dario Fo in which she also worked on the makeup team[^c8][^c10]; in Alef Ghain Mim, an ensemble production[^c9]; and in Charandiyat-e Dramatik, a postmodern and non-linear comedy in which she describes finding an internal logic inside deliberate illogicality[^c5]. In interviews during that run she describes inner understanding and physical and vocal expression as inseparable[^c12]. Several of her stage and television credits, including Moosh-haye Teatr-e Shahr and Aban, are documented through her interviews but not through the productions' published cast lists.
