Cool Fahrenheit Radio
Cool Fahrenheit Radio (Thai: คูลฟาเรนไฮต์; styled COOLfahrenheit) is a Thai music radio station broadcasting in Bangkok and its metropolitan area on 93.0 MHz FM[^c3] and over the internet. Operated by Coolism Co. Ltd.[^c1], a subsidiary of the SET-listed RS Public Company Limited, with programming produced by RS Music and Entertainment[^c8], it launched in 2000[^c2] and became one of Thailand's best-known easy-listening stations, later marketed as the country's number-one easy-listening service[^c7].
The station's identity is built on continuous music. Its defining feature is a "50 Minutes Music Freeze Your Mind" block in which songs play back to back for fifty minutes without commercial interruption[^c4], a format supported by a weekday roster of presenters branded "Cool J" and a schedule of lifestyle segments covering traffic, food, health and entertainment. Its playlist concentrates on Thai popular and easy-listening songs, mixing current releases with enduring older favourites. Alongside its FM signal and online stream, the station has also featured among the services in Thailand's DAB+ digital radio trial, which covers the regions of Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen, Songkhla and Chonburi[^c14].
Commercially, Cool Fahrenheit became a dominant force in the Thai radio market. By the late 2010s it was reported to hold more than half of the total market share of the radio industry[^c5], and during the COVID-19 work-from-home period Nielsen research put it first among Thai stations with a 61.7 per cent share among listeners aged 20–44[^c6]. Its online stream grew to international scale, ranked Asia's number-one streaming radio station by Shoutcast in 2018 and 2019[^c9]. Its leading position has since been qualified by measurement of the general market, with a 2025 ranking of Bangkok audiences aged 15 and over placing Cool Fahrenheit second — an indication that its number-one claims apply chiefly to the easy-listening format and to narrower age segments[^c15].
Alongside broadcasting, the station runs concerts, listener trips and beach music festivals, extending its music brand into live events. From 2023 its flagship live programme was organised as a four-season festival series paired with large arena concerts[^c10], and its concert unit, COOLive, became known for arena shows that sold out within minutes[^c12]. In 2025 the station marked the twentieth anniversary of its COOL Outing listener-travel programme with trips to Japan[^c13], and it continued to stage on-ground events and to refresh its radio content into 2026, even as its parent group worked through a debt default and a stock-exchange caution mark that were resolved in July 2026[^c11][^c16].
