Anurag University
Anurag University is a private state university located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.[^c1] Established in 2020 under the Telangana Private Universities Act, it traces its origins to Lalitha Degree College, founded in 1998 by Dr. Palla Rajeshwar Reddy. The institution expanded through the establishment of CVSR College of Engineering (2002) and Lalitha College of Pharmacy (2005), which were integrated into the Anurag Group of Institutions in 2010 before earning university status in 2020. The university operates under the Gayathri Educational and Cultural Trust and is sponsored by Dr. Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, who serves as Chairman.
The university offers 14 undergraduate, 13 postgraduate, and 9 doctoral programs across seven schools: Engineering, Agriculture, Pharmacy, Management, Medical Science, Nursing, and International Studies.[^c2] The campus spans 150+ acres in Venkatapur, Ghatkesar, serving over 15,000 students with more than 500 faculty members.[^c3][^c4] The university is approved by AICTE and UGC, holds NAAC 'A' Grade accreditation, and has NBA Tier-1 accreditation for its engineering and pharmacy programs.[^c9] It has been consistently featured in the NIRF rankings across disciplines for the past five years, ranked in the top 150 universities in India.[^c11]
The university has recorded strong placement growth, with over 10,000 job offers since 2021, including 1,500+ placements in 2025 and 2,100+ offers in 2026.[^c5][^c6][^c7] The highest salary package reached ₹53 lakhs per annum with an average CTC of ₹6.5 lakhs.[^c8] Anurag University has established international partnerships with Arizona State University, City University of New York, and Purdue University, and became Telangana's first educational institution to build a satellite through the [[AnuragSAT]] student project.[^c12]
